Build Personal and Professional Self Confidence

Self Confidence and Effective Communication are extremely important qualities in almost every aspect of our lives, yet so many people struggle with it. The good news is that self-confidence and effective communication really can be learned and built upon. And whether you are working on your own self-confidence or building he confidence of people around you, Toastmasters are well worth the effort!

How to join us

Joining PSS Toastmasters is very simple – Firstly to get a flavour of our club, we would encourage you to attend one or two of our meetings (held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday, Sligo Park Hotel 8pm-10pm) as a guest. Do not worry, guests will never feel compelled to speak at any meeting. However, if you do feel like contributing, there will be a chance to do so during the Table Topic session.

“Toastmasters is the best and least expensive personal improvement class you can go to.”

Once you have visited our club, you may feel like joining us. Simply approach any member of the club and they will be more than pleased to guide you in the right direction.

Joining will involve the completion of a membership form and a yearly payment of €70.00 plus an extra €20.00 to pay for the first set of your competent Communicator and Competent Leader manuals. There is also a €6 fee for each meeting you attend to cover the costs of the room hire, tea, coffee and biscuits during the mid-session interval.

Membership is renewed on a yearly basis starting in September. We offer a reduced rate for a limited number of people who may qualify: students OAP’s, job seekers, each case will be considered separately

As a member of  PSS Toastmasters Sligo, you’ll be joining 270,000 other Toastmasters members around the world, completing a proven set of achievements to develop your skills.

All change

We have changed our club name to Public Speakers Sligo. We feel that this name very clearly promotes what our club is about.  So we say a fond farewell to Innisfree Toastmasters and a warm welcome to Public Speakers Sligo – PSS for short. We are still part of Toastmasters International which is a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping people become better communicators and leaders.  If you want to know more about our club and how it can help you why not come along to one of our meetings. We meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 8pm in the Sligo Park Hotel.

Until next time…

Our meetings have resumed for 2019 in the beautifully refurbished Sligo Park Hotel.
